Assessment Goals:

LAB FORMAT

Part 1:

  • At the top of the first page of the Lab – Place the Lab Title
  • On the next line below the Lab Title, put the Date (DD/MM/YYYY)
  • On the line below the Date, put the names (first and last) of all lab members.
  • Now, skip a line leaving a blank line.
  • Start the Lab Sections on the line below the skipped line.

Part 2:

Lab Sections (be sure and skip a line between the end of each section and the beginning of the next section.

  • Introduction: Describe the underlying concepts on which this Lab is based, give applications examples about Spectroscopy UV analysis, and the purpose of the experiment. Do not forget to reference your sources. (Individual work)

  • Explain the basic chemistry concepts that took place in the experiment
  • Comment on whether you met the objective for the lab.
  • Discuss any problems you encountered.
  • Include any experimental error.
  • Discuss what you learned and the meaning of this knowledge. Try to be eloquent.Creativity is nice too.
  • Do not forget to reference any source you used for your conclusion, etc.
