You are the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of a large tech company in Silicon Valley and your company has just acquired a small start-up company that has recently developed an apparatus that can introduce a drug into the human body subcutaneously without the use of a needle. This small start-up has ten employees and all are either programmers or medical researchers including the two founders of the start-up. You are now making your presentation to the Board as to what organizational structure you’re recommending to be implemented at the start-up company. Some members of the Board have asked you the following questions:
